Spendenaufruf
für die Zirkusschule Max
Since 2019, the Plume association has been supporting the circus school set up by Maksim Karakulin – alias Max – in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, in the farthest, bottom corner of Ukraine.
We have been collecting various items for his circus courses since December 2021
Circus material. And we are looking for godmothers and godfathers who support families,
so that their children can attend the circus courses.
Im Dezember 2021 haben wir für die ukrainische Zirkusschule von Max einen Spendenaufruf gemacht. Mit dem gesammelten Geld hatten wir Material gekauft und einen grossen, doppelstöckigen Palettenrahmen voll Zirkusmaterial bereitgestellt für die auf Ende Februar geplante Lieferung in die Ukraine. Dann kam Putin. Ein Drama für all die Menschen da. Viele sind geflohen. Auch Max – der Zirkusschulleiter in Odessa – Bilhorod-Dnistrowskyj. Max wohnt inzwischen bei uns in Sirnach. Und zwei Dörfer weiter – in Fischingen – ist ein ganzes Waisenheim aus der Ukraine, zusammen mit drei Nonnen, angekommen. Sie leben nun im Kloster Fischingen. Dazu hat es in Fischingen weitere Familien aus der Ukraine – so viele, dass sich die Schulgemeinde entschlossen hat, ein vor 12 Jahren geschlossenes Schulhaus wieder zu öffnen. Und da hat es auch eine Turnhalle, in welcher nun die erste Ukrainische Zirkusschule ausserhalb der Ukraine aufgebaut wird. Max gibt den geflüchteten Kindern Unterricht in Zirkusakrobatik und Sport. Lucas begleitet das Projekt. Wir freuen uns, dass das gespendete Material nun doch eingesetzt werden kann: Für einen ukrainischen Kinderzirkus in Fischingen, geleitet von Max. Und wir hoffen, dass das Material auch gemeinsam mit Max und seiner Familie in die Ukraine reisen wird!

We are deeply concerned about the current situation in Ukraine, but so far we have been able to stay in contact with Max. The circus courses are currently not taking place and the delivery of materials is not possible at the moment. We are therefore all the more grateful for donations. We will inform you as soon as we have been able to make the delivery and the money transfer. Our thoughts are firmly with all those affected in this incredibly difficult situation.

Max started building up this circus school 2 years ago and thus solves
The young artists really enjoy the show – and it gives them self-confidence.
His circus school now has two locations: Saglani and Belgorod-Dnistrovski. He teaches two classes at each location, which train with him three times a week. A total of almost 50 children are able to enjoy the circus performance.
